  • Average On-Time Performance, all Queens buses in 2001: 80.7%
  • Average Wait Assessment in 2001: N/A
  • Average Wait Assessment, all Queens buses in 2001: 86.2%
Ridership on the Q27***

  • Change in ridership between 1999 and 2000: + 10.2%
  • Change in service between 1999 and 2000: -3.4%
Riders' Comments on the Q27
  • “Since the Q27 limited was introduced, a new system at the Main Street stop needs to be implemented. There is always chaos because no one knows where to stand to catch the Q27 and Q27 Limited. Everyone starts pushing and shoving each other and it is dangerous.”
  • "Need more Q27 buses because of excessive number of riders. Especially on the local buses.”
  • “I just wish the buses would stop straight in front of Queensborough Community College.”

Riders rated cleanliness, safety, reliability, announcements and crowding on a scale from 1 to 5, where 1 is least satisfactory and 5 most satisfactory. Percent of riders dissatisfied represents the proportion of riders giving the rating of 1 or 2. Overall dissatisfaction is an average of the dissatisfaction proportion of all 5 indicators.

On-Time Performance is based on how closely buses adhere to their schedules during evening hours. Wait Assessment is the degree to which buses arrive regularly. The lower the percentage the more buses are arriving bunched together or with big gaps in service.
