The Bx15 runs between Fordham Plaza and West 125th Street Pier along 3rd Avenue and 125th Street. The NYPIRG Straphangers Campaign randomly surveyed 181 riders on the Bx15 in 2002. Here’s what they think of the route*:

  • “This bus takes too long. Once it finally arrives there are 3 other buses with it.”

Riders rated cleanliness, safety, reliability, announcements and crowding on a scale from 1 to 5, where 1 is least satisfactory and 5 most satisfactory. Percent of riders dissatisfied represents the proportion of riders giving the rating of 1 or 2. Overall dissatisfaction is an average of the dissatisfaction proportion of all 5 indicators.

On-Time Performance is based on how closely buses adhere to their schedules during evening hours. Wait Assessment is the degree to which buses arrive regularly. The lower the percentage the more buses are arriving bunched together or with big gaps in service.
