Contest Rules for Win A Free Metrocard! Name-a-Car Contest Please read the following: The "Win a Free Metrocard!" contest is conducted by the Straphangers Campaign, a project of the New York Public Interest Research Group (NYPIRG), a not-for-profit corporation. It is being run as part of an effort to ask riders' to name New York City subway cars. To be considered a valid entry, participants must fill out the online survey form as completely as possible and provide their e-mail address. "Win a Free Metrocard!" participants must be 16 years of age or older. Completed entries must be submitted to the NYPIRG Straphangers Campaign by 5:00 p.m. June 7, 2001. In the event that 500 entries are submitted, each submission has a 1-in-100 chance of winning a prize. The NYPIRG Straphangers Campaign will be asking approximately 10,000 individuals by e-mail to submit entries. We'll have an impartial committee pick five winners -- and some runner's up -- from the names submitted. They will each receive a weekly $17, unlimited-ride Metrocard. The drawing date will be June 8, 2001 at 6:00 p.m. at the New York Public Interest Research Group; 9 Murray Street, 3rd Flr. NY, NY 10007. Winners need not be present; they will be notified by e-mail. If an inadequate number of entries are submitted, the NYPIRG Straphangers Campaign reserves the right to modify the drawing dates. If more than one e-mail address is stated on the submitted online entry form, the first listed name shall be deemed the entrant. The decision of the NYPIRG Straphangers Campaign shall be final on all matters concerning the drawing. Friends and relatives of employees of the New York Public Interest Research Group are barred from participation in the "Win a Free Metrocard!" contest. _____________________________________________________________________
