Each week, MTA New York City Transit issues service advisory notices of planned subway service diversions. Most of these are due to repair work, which usually affects service at off-hours or on weekends. However, sometimes service is affected at other times.
You can save time and aggravation by knowing what's going on. Trains may skip your station or travel a different route or run on a reduced schedule. Advance information can allow you to avoid or lessen the impact of planned service diversions.
By registering below, the Straphangers Campaign can automatically send you weekly MTA service advisories for your line(s) by e-mail. It’s free and easy!
Just fill out the short online form below and hit "I want it!"
The advisories describe planned service diversions due to an "on going effort to upgrade and maintain the subway system." While the Straphangers Campaign cannot verify the information, please tell us when it is incorrect. If there is any problem, we would like to know.
You also may wish to contact the MTA New York City Transit directly. See this page for further info.
Should it become necessary for us to discontinue this email service, we will advise you ahead of time.
