ON FEb.2nd approx.8:20AM I boarded a 7 local at 46/Bliss my stop.It was very crowded as there were no express trains running at all.At 33rd St. I was pushed off the train where my entire left leg went straight into the GAP! I was pulled up at put onto the train so shaken,I could have lost my leg or died. When I got to work I was in such pain and my leg was swelling up,they immediately sent me to emergency at Lenox Hill.I missed 2 days of work and my leg was completely blk, blu,my thigh is still swollen 4wks. later.I am getting a $700 dollar bill from hosp. What is my recourse with the MTA ?I have the hosp. report but was so shaken did not file with police.I had to go to a psych Dr.,i am so paranoid about getting on and off the train?

Sorry to hear about your injury, I hope you feel better soon.

First get a lawyer that deals with Mass Transit Injuries, then you can file a claim for injuries with the MTA.

Goodness! I didn't know that was still happening. It happened to my sister, years ago in the late 70s, she slipped at Queensboro Plaza and her leg went all the way down and she had cuts all over at almost hip level and black and blue everywhere. I thought that yellow edging they added had narrowed the gap.
