Excited to see south-bound service to return to Petrillo Plaza! Even with the expected snow.

Last time I was there, I saw the W7 was still being re-routed. Do you know if that's over yet?

True, true.

Thanks for the update, though.

Just wondering, any particular reason why the 55 got the stop nearing the of Petrillo Plaza? Seeing that people do transfer to the 7 from that bus.

The 55 continues straight (east) on E. prospect Ave. The 7, 40, 41 and 43 all turn left. the 53 & 54 which occupy the same stop as the 55 turns right.

Also, if you are heading south on the 55 and you want to transfer to the 7, you can do that at W. Lincoln Ave. & Stevens Ave.

How would you make a transfer from the westbound W7 to the southbound W55?

I have family living off Lincoln Avenue, right near Exit 12 on the Hutchinson River Parkway. Every time I go home from there, I walk to the W55 down Bradford to Beechwood, and get the bus at the corner of Lorraine and South Columbus. Since the W7 stops less than a block from my relatives' house, I've always thought it would save a lot of walking time to take the W7 down to Petrillo Plaza and get the W55 there, and then head back home to the Bronx. However, I've always avoided going that way because the transfer always seems so convoluted.

Would anyone know more about this?

it's near city hall on the other side of the tracks as the 7 crosses the tracks(1st ) heading west the transfer is a few blocks from city hall at the next intersection.

So, there's a stop that the W7 and W55 have in common, in front of City Hall? Is it on the north side of the tracks or the south side?

1985. Also And where is this source is from? There a Bee Line Manager who a regular on these boards and only from him would i take seriosly any changes in Beeline routes.

And why would the #60 which is already a long route from Fordham-White Plains be extended? If anything the only Bee line if ever that makes any sense to extend to GWB/Washington Heights area is the #2 Yonkers line from 242nd St/Bway.

Hey, I know that this forum is pretty old and all, but it looks like something I could really contribute A LOT to. I'm actually a Bee-Line Expert myself, and I also have ideas that I feel could do only so much for the Bee-Line Bus System. I had ideas of what buses go on what routes, what should be done with certain routes, and I EVEN have my own ideas of fictional (hypothetical) Bee-Line Bus Routes, if you would like to hear them out.

Hypothetical huh?
I'll actually say my ideas then (not JUST route related:
Place more articulated buses on the 2, 4, 5, 25 (this should be a FULL Artic route), 42, and 55.
Add new routes to the system (this is where MY ideas of fictional/hypothetical bus routes comes in)
So far, this one I'm about to show a link to is actually a pretty strategic one.

I'd have to argue that the 50 is a pretty decent idea, it's known that Woodlawn needs more bus service.

I actually have other ideas. Don't know if the links will work though, however, just try the links anyways.

Route 24 (Express version of 4) Yonkers RR/Getty Square-Fordham Via Bedford Park

Route 22 Bedford Park-White Plains

Route 28 Mount Vernon-Gateway Shopping Center/Yankee Stadium Via McLean Avenue (Please NOTE that this idea was created about a month before I found out the BxM4C itself is the REAL 28)

Bee-Line #21 Limited/Express is to become Bus Rapid Transit (similar to what Select Bus Service does).
I hope they could implement BRT system.

Why not just get rid of the 54, and reroute some existing W42 trips via the 54?
