Yes it does get crouded even on a off day because its only 2 car singles used 1way and only 4 cars in use per 30mins.

It's every 10 min for 6 tph from any one terminal for a total of 12 cars/hour.

Didn't they close down Dean Street station, due to it's proximity to another station on the Franklin Avenue Shuttle line?

Dean St was closed because the amount of people who got on or off there was less than 25 per day. Since it was close enough to the Franklin AV station it was easier and cheaper to close it when the rebuilding of the line was done.
