Saw it on the C at around 11:20 in Brooklyn, heading in the opposite direction (towards Euclid Avenue). I believe I also saw it on my home (I was in a tunnel, so I couldn't get a clear view, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't on the express track).

I guess it was just a fill-in for whatever reason. It was actually signed up as a C, though (roll sign bullet at the front and back and electronic signs on the side).

Could also be because many of the R32s have air conditioning problems, though, now that I think about it... remember that E train riders were complaining about that issue a few years ago.

moving the R32's to another line and yard even will not solve their problems....they are OLD and need to be R.I.P. as many people have complained about the lack of A/C+the breakdowns that happen on them during the first heat wave of this summer..I dont know how many but i saw at least 2R44's in both directions running on C line..Also saw many R46's on the A

I rode the R44 C train today around 4:30 to Washington Heights-168th Street and it made express stops from Canal Street to 145th Street. I rode the same train set home to Brooklyn.

The R44 C are temporary because of the Good ol'R32 workhorse a/c is gettin fixed and will be in use longer than the R44.
Btw the reason why the R32s that was in jamaica yard were retired because of the worn out airbrakes and non fixed a/c's.

I rode an R32 (C) yesterday and one of the cars that came from ENY that got fixed still didn't have A/C, 207th need to get their act together.

WRONG, When They were at Coney Island, They Never had A/C problems, 207th st is not a Big yard, The Main Mistake was giving them all 244 R32's, That was stupid and they are only assigned to the (C).

They Have to stay, R44's had no choice but to kick rocks, The R32's are in better shape, If the dummies gave the R32's an SMS and new A/C HAVC system, They would be fine.

I never said they do but they proved that they can outlast a use of wear and tear operations, imo I'm hoping that they make the 50yr mark so ill be able to see it happen and rember the 1st Rtype to make it that far.

When the R32s were in Coney Island, they would often have broken air conditioning too.

Ah the ratings are because of the MTA and nope All R44s are in storage pending scrap soon.

I trully don't think the 44s will come back to activation unless emergency.
