Actually the Ta did on occcasion end the C at Euclid but fights occured when the C returned along Fulton due to delays.
The frequent delays on the C going to Rock Park caused overcrowding on the A express.

Now you want to change your mind? You think i m an idiot i know what i am talking about. No to the C to Rockaway Park.

you like fights Q89? People cursing at conductors/motorman which happened when the C ran to Rock Park. And fights to board the A when the C was delayed.

Q89 I am sorry just a passionate guy. You are much brighter than R160etrain. I was frustraed because i was given you reasons both from personal experience and facts why the C going to Rock Park is not a good idea. You can believe anything you want. Its over lets end it ok kid?

I realized that no one would want to take the C at Lefferts so it should keep the current service.

From looking at the poll I would like to see the C train extended to Lefferts Blvd. The C will run from Lefferts Blvd to 168th St all times except late nights. All times except late nights A trains will either run from 207th St to Rockaway Park or Far Rockaway. During rush hours special A trains will run from Lefferts Blvd during the AM rush and to Lefferts Blvd during the PM rush. The Rockaway Park shuttle would have a round robin service at all times starting from Broad Channel to Rockaway Park, from Rockaway Park to Far Rockaway and Far Rockaway to Broad Channel just like the H train did during the 1980s. The Lefferts Blvd Shuttle will run when the C train is not running and will run from Euclid Av to Lefferts Blvd.

This will improve train service in the Rockaways with added train service since some wait times for some Rockaway stops can go up to 30 minutes during the evening. Allow a one seat ride from Rockaway Park to Far Rockaway. I understand that use the A train to Lefferts Blvds needs an express train but during rush hours they will still have express service to Manhattan.

I think a problem with the (C) is that it has to merge with the (A) between Canal Street-Holland Tunnel and Jay Street-Borough Hall and then had to merge again south of Euclid Avenue. I think the best decision was felt to bring the (H) back and terminate it at Broad Channel so it could run at twenty minute headways. I also think Liberty Junction is another focal point. With the (H) riders going to Brooklyn or Manhattan transfer at Broad Channel.

Why didn't they just have the A/C mirror the B/D?
They should have made it so that after the (C) leaves 50 st it merges with the (A) to run via 8 Avenue Express.

Personally I think the (C) should have ran via Culver Express and the (V) via Fulton Local. Of course the MTA would probably have to add switches Jay st so that there is no congestion.

The (C) should have been 8 Avenue Express, not 8 Avenue Local, the (E) can handle 8 Avenue local by itself, plus the (C) doesnt have to get delayed merging with the E.

R160 there are switches between Jay and York/High Sts. to switch between 8th Ave and 6th/Culver tracks.
Its used for instance during 'g/o's' when the "A/C" runs on the "F' between West 4th and Jay St.
Problem is that Jay St area switch right now is not designed for high speed transfers and would cause massive delays.

that's ashamed, the C/V could have been used to their full potential.

Many people on the boards before you joined R160 made same suggestion of the V going to Euclid and the C running to Church Ave or Kings Highway without knowing the switch problems at Jay.

The original (C) was the Concourse Express. Our (C) was formerly the (CC) and from 1933 to 1998 was the Concourse Local. When Sixth Avenue opened in 1940 and the (D) began, the (C) continued until 1949. At that time the IND assumed the shape it would hold until 1988 with the exception of the (HH) and (KK)/(K) being created and the (BB) being merged with the (T) intn the (B). That shape was (A)(AA)(CC) and (E) and (B)*(D) and (F)..

The orignal (K) was cancelled on Friday August 27, 1976 due to "low ridership". The (AA)/(K) made its' final run on December 11, 1988 and the (C) was expanded into the train we have today. There used to be an (HH) Rockaways Round Robin. This late night "fun" train began at Euclid, traveled to Rockaway Park, traveled through Hammel's Wye to Far Rockaway then traveled back to Euclid.
