My favorite are Myrtle-Wyckoff and Union Square. But my least favorite is Bedford Avenue due to the many riders that crowd onto this single platform.

Myrtle-Wyckoff is a really beautiful station, I just had the opportunity to pass through there for the first time this week! I really like the domed area on the transfer up to the M.

My least favorite would have to be 3rd and 1st Avenues (especially 1st). These stations extend quite far toward 2nd Ave and Avenue A, respectively, but do not offer fare control/exits at that end. Especially for Avenue A, this is pretty ridiculous IMHO. If I were designing the L stops east of Union Sq in Manhattan, I would have put them 2nd-1st Avenues and Avenue B-C (with entrances at both ends). Since it's too late for that, I think they should definitely build an Ave A entrance to the 1st Avenue station!

I have a few favorite stations on the L. Mine are:

8th Ave
Union Sq
Bedford Av
Lorimer St
Rockaway Pkwy

8th Ave, Union Sq and Lorimer St are cool cause the stations look nice and I used to use Union Sq and 8th Ave to go to and from school back in the day, so it's very memorable. I like Bedford Av & also Lorimer St more for the people. Bedford and Lorimer are 2 major stations that show just how much the L has grown in terms of ridership and how popular Williamsburg has gotten in the last several years. It's fascinating to see a neighborhood do a total 180. Rockaway Pkwy is cool cause you walk straight from the street to the train. I don't think there's a station like that.

My least favorite would have to be:

6th Ave - its such a dirty station. You would have thought the MTA would have fixed the station after they were done with Union Sq and 8th Ave.

I need to check out the Myrtle-Wyckoff station after reading cda's post. It was still under construction the last time I went through there.

I like the way Myrtle-Wyckoff turned out. I don't like Union Square due to the crowds, and the same for 6 Avenue. I think Bway Junction is ok.

I like:
8th Av- because of alligator sculptures.
Union Sq: Interesting design
Myrtle-Wyckoff Avs: I like the new renovated transit hub. When I got off Q58 there, I almost miss it because it look like historical building.
Broadway Junction: Stainglass
Wilson Av to Rockaway Park outdoor

I've been a fan of Atlantic Avenue (elevated) and Eighth Avenue (underground).

IIRC, Atlantic Avenue has three platforms because the Fulton Street El ran there on its' way to Lefferts Boulevard. From the 1940's until 1956, the Fulton Street El ran from Broadway Junction to Lefferts Boulevard.

Of the four (L) stations on Van Sinderen Avenue, I think Sutter Avenue has the nicest entrance with Livonia Avenue the second nicest entrance.

I think Atlantic Avenue is better than New Lots Avenue.

Otherwise, there's not much on Van Sinderen Avenue.

I've been to Broadway Junction (as far east as I've gone on the L) and that station is awesome.

i once was seeing a girl who lived not too far from the DeKalb ave. station, and I always liked it because when I went there, and left... it was always nice and quiet, not crowded. Lorimer St. is pretty nice, too. - i have some awesome memories from that station.

The only ones I'm really familiar with are the Manhattan stops along 14th Street, plus Myrtle/Wyckoff and Rockaway Parkway.

I use Myrtle/Wyckoff frequently to transfer from the (L) to the (M), as I go to/from the Middle Village area often.
