Those could have been the R142's damaged in the "rail through the floor" incident.

Wow, the R44's. Reason is because most of the time you'll see R44's running on the A line.
Actually, they were the new trains, similar to those on the IRT (Lexington Avenue and 2 train) I dont know what number series they are, but they are sitting in the yard.
I know what you are talking about. You're talking about the R110B's which once ran on the A and C lines.

It must be disappointing for "C" riders to go back to the "old" R38/32s after an experience of the "high-tech" R110 trains.

The R44's are not new at all. They just look newer than the R32/38. They date back to 1972-32 years!

The only reason they look new, is because of the LED's. I thought at first that the R44 were the newest cars in the system... that was before I joined here.

We all know that the R46's are superior to them...

Isn't those LCDs instead of LEDs on the R44. I thought the LEDs were on the R143. confused

Those are LCD's. LED's are on the R143 sidesigns and the R142/142A/143 front destination signs.

Here's the easy way to remember.

LED=LIGHT EMITTING DIODE. Therefore, if there are tons of little circle/squarish dots emitting bright lights, it's LED

LCD=LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY. The segments are usually larger on LCD's. This is the same display used on standard calculators, and are almost always green.

FLIPDOTS. The dots have a green and black side, and flip to show different messages. On most buses.

Or yellow (as in the R142/A), or black on a yellow background (R44/46.)

It has been rumored that the R160 will have readings like the R44/46 as opposed to the R142/143.

These are also what the R32 front route display are.

Really? The R142's LCD display is much easier to read than the R44/46's.

Yes, and will always be superior to the R44's and certain other types that I won't mention on here :p

The R44's could be facelifted in everyway possible...still would stuck, let's get some new trains on 8th for the A line, already

They need to incorporate MULTI COLOR LEDs because we can not loose TRAIN LINE COLOR identity

The elevators at my school are so old, they have two backlit arrows (up or down), nothing more.

Multicolor LEDs aren't worth the expense of having them. If you want color identity, look at the inside stripmap or the actual subway map.

The 5 car set of R160's will go to the A,with the 4 car sets going to the J/M/Z lines. The R44's are in sorry shape, but won't be replaced untill sometime in the future. Most likely, the 44's will go to the C untill the option cars are delievered.

The elevators in your school are embarrasing, lol. They are really old. They remind me of R-1s. smile

They're not anything *you'd* use if you came here. Our hobby is coming up with BS injuries to get an elevator key.
