The LI Bus N27 Bus route runs between Hempstead, Roosevelt Field, and Glen Cove. It recently has been extended to a 7 day route. It serves Hempstead,Roosevelt Field, Carle Place,East Williston,Roslyn,Glen Head, and Glen Cove. It's route map is below

The N27 runs its full route except for a few short runs on weekdays. It runs once an hour, except every 30 minutes in the AM and PM rush. The travel time from end to end is approx 60 minutes.
The first bus out of Hempstead to Glen Cove is 5:27am, the last, 6:30pm. The first bus out of Glen Cove is 5:49am, the last 7:36pm*.
*last stop Roosevelt Field.
On Saturdays most N27's run between Roosevelt Field and Glen Cove, except the first few runs and the last few runs. They run approx every 50-70 mins. The first bus to Glen Cove leaves Hempstead at 6:12am, the last 6:19pm. The first bus to Hempstead is at 7:05am, the last 7:24pm.
The N27 just started running on Sundays last year. It runs approx every 60 minutes, between Roosevelt Field and Glen Cove, except for a few runs that do go to Hempstead. The first bus leaves Hempstead at 8:17am. The last bus to Hempstead leaves Glen Cove at 7:30pm. The first bus from Glen Cove to Roosevelt Field is at 9:20am. The last bus to Glen Cove from Roosevelt Field is at 6:40pm.

The N27 service is woefully inadequate. With hourly headways most of the day, buses are packed. The route is extremely slow often taking 15-30 mins longer than schedule. The lack of night service makes travels between Roosevelt Field/Hempstead and the Glen Cove area impossible.
I'd extend N27 service till 9:30pm at night, 7:30pm on Sundays. I'd also descrease headways from 60 to 30 minutes, and every 15 minutes in the rush hour.

I blame SUV's and Hummers.

Just kidding QTrain.

SOrry you're having problems. It sucks to have to take a MTA bus.

I'm just glad I dont have to rely so much on that route anymore. Back when I lived in the Glen Cove area I had to take the N27 and all the time and it was horrible. Now that I'm in Westbury I only have to take it a few times when I go to Greenvale or Glen Cove.
