The Phase I R32s are starting to come to the Jamaica from the pikin yard and the R42MK's are going to pikin from ENY and the Phase II R32s are going to 207th st for reefing.

The phase I cars from pikin are: 3356/57, 3360/61,3370/71, 3376/77, 3380/81, 3394/95,but I do not know what number R42MK are going to be at pikin.

The exchanges are 12 for 12. ENY will send 12 R42s, I think lowest number first (so 4550-4561)) for a couple of weeks.

Saw two R42 consists in service on the Far Rockaway A during the late night hours. They both made at least two full trips.

I might be mistaken, but one of the car numbers was 4453.

The R32 Phase II's have NYAB Brakes, which the TA have had problems maintaining.

Poor performance of the New York Air Braking system.

Did you catch any car numbers? They were probably from 4550 to 45XX.

The C already runs R38s, though... and if it is apparently going to be phased out by the end of this year, exactly what will the C be using then, if not the R40/42?

MK R42s are going from ENY Yard to Pitkin Yard at the rate of 12 a week, so they will go on the A line. There will be no R42 on the C because of the conductor's board position. The displaced R32s are Phase I and will go to Jamaica to replace the Phase IIs.

The R38 aren't affected in this for now, so those R38 will go to the C, which doesn't need many trainsets. As to what will happen when the R38 are retired, we'll just have to wait and see.

It's hard to understand what you are trying to say, but yes if the C were to run R42's it would have to make the C 10-car trains or if it stays at 8-car trains, then they would have to move the car stop marker to the front of the platform where the A train is.
