Here is a good selection of the R route signing from past to present. [img] [/img] [img] [/img] [img] [/img] [img] [/img] [img] [/img] [img] [/img] [img] [/img] [img] [/img] These are wonderful! Thank you for posting these for us.

guys what about this solution for the "R" train.
Only solution if the MTA does make the "R" a 24/7 line again is maybe consider taking these steps:
1)On selected trips(about every 20-30 minutes) during rush hours only the "R diamond" could run via the Manhattan Bridge between Canal and Dekalb. Rest of this line route stays same.
1a)When train is delayed more by 20 minutes (similar to the "F" doing battery runs skipping stops in Lower Manhattan/Brooklyn between West 4th St & Church Ave)the "R" also uses the bridge to make up for time.
Those of you who suggested the "R" run express along 4th Ave in Brooklyn, it not possible due to track layout and the switching would cause delays on the "D & N" lines. The above suggested is only solution when "R" is late along with increased headways.
bro, I wouldn't bother w/ an R diamond; that wouldn't save as much time as you'd think it would... let's not forget about the other lines that use the manhattan bridge as well....
& yeh, forget about R's running express along 4th av; that doesn't solve anything... what would serve local stops north of 59th when the M doesn't run in brooklyn, the N? fat chance....
that idea #1a... hah, I agree the R is a slow local... but 20 minutes? how often would that scenario happen though?
the way I see it, the way the R line is situated, it's in a catch-22.... can't run exp. in brooklyn (for reasons you already stated), it'd be redundant having it run exp. in manhattan (can't swap it w/ the Q; too much switching involved)... as for the headache along QB, you can't make R's run exp. to 71st/continental either...
so, what can you do
