I'm glad I work the IRT. From an operator's position, I don't like the R-160. I operated the simulator at 130 livingston, and unlike the R-142 there is no relief. On the R-142, when your right arm gets tired you can switch to operating with the left. This is impossible on the R-143, R160. Left handers must hate this equipment. NYCT is inviting an endless string of workmen's compensation claims. But to all the "W" line riders, Enjoy your new cars.

I was expecting the (Q) to be the next.
Are the R160's running on the (J) yet, or just on the rush-hour (Z)? J line runs 2 sets of R160A-1 rush hours only,Z line runs 5 sets (last i saw)rush hours also.same with the L line. I also thought that the "Q" qould have been next. R-160A? Would that be the Alsthom cars?
Yes,the R160A are from Alstom.
