Well, double letter trains has been phased out for almost 16 years. The NX was a super express but was eliminated because of low ridership. If the NX was still with us today, I think it will have a real high ridership.

The only problem with the (2) is that it's route is way to long and maakes the most stops of any Irt line. In many respects it should be the Bronx Exp.

It'll only work with dedicated bus lanes like on 34th St. They actually will implement an M15 SBS soon though. Also, it's kind of a bad idea to do it NOW since half of Second Ave between 69th-74th and 91st-95th (and soon to be 95th-99th) is torn up f

If they do about 15 cars each day then they'll finish every car in a month or a little more. The 1 and 3 don't have express/local variants.

The 7 is isolated from the rest of the system so it doesn't need to swap terminals in the chance of a delay anyway. But point taken.
