Charging different fares depending on whether a train is express or local is, frankly, more unfeasible than zoned fares. I'm against zoned fares as well though.

If N runs local on weekdays via B-way especially rush hours then it will hold up both Q/R at crossover between Prince and Canal St stations.

Like I said, alternate the 5 trains. Send some to Flatbush and others to Utica Av. Personally I think the 5 to Brooklyn middays was a good idea, the only problem was they might have sent too many to Flatbush Av and some were empty. Splitting them bet

Well duh, it was never meant to be a terminal. It was supposed to have extended further down Nostrand. It also doesn't help that the bumpers is right at the end of the platform meaning trains have to slow to a crawl into the station.
