Well, as B35 pointed out, Hillside is mostly commercial while Springfield is more residential.

Hillside is 7 lanes wide: 3 each direction (each outer used for parking) with the middle used for turning.

But the reality is SOMETHING has to give over there with all that service most of the buses are still crowded add that with the Bx 9's and 22's. that is why i said a Light Rail on that strip might be an intresting option
