I want to ask How do all of you who ride the (C), what do you like about the line, About the equipment that it uses and etc.

My response is that the (C) should get newer cars, I like the R32's don't get me wrong, I just think they are better off on a line that does not run 7 days a week, I would say the (B) and it needs to go full lengh.

But I want your input.

The "C" is utilitarian in nature. It's basically an "A" train on the local track. It does serve an important purpose and gets folks from point A to point B, but there's not much to it. It was more interesting when it ran to Bedford Park Blvd. I don't see enough ridership on the "C" to warrant 10 car train lengths; more frequent headways would be helpful on weekends when the "B" is not running. R44s mixed with 8 car R32s makes no sense as people never know where the cars wills will stop.

Just my two cents.

It is a feeder line, picks up from local stops and the majority transfer to the express.

The C stikes me as a rather odd line. It is a secondary line, and yet has a substantial route length. The fact that is has long headways and yet was never really that crowded at rush hours even though it has dedicated stops it serves (the local stops along Fulton)

The MTA will stop running the C for seemingly any work related service change and prefers to replace it with an awkward F to Euclid and the G to Coney pattern, or the A runs local.

It is intentionally given the oldest equipment in the system. (Even though I like the R32, after riding NTTs now most of the time, they are kinda oldish.)

All in all, a weird and maybe neglected egg.

I like the C train but, I think it can do better going somewhere beside Euclid Ave.

The C is there just so the A can have a faster trip to the Rockaways/Lefferts. Personally the C would have been great via Culver if that damned IND fort hamilton branch had been built. CURSE YOU WW II.

I like the (C). I liked when the (C) ran Bedford Park Boulevard to either Euclid Avenue or Beach 116th Street Rockaway Park and had the R27/R30 Redbirds.

The R1-R9s on the (CC) also were a favorite. In those days of the early 1970's, the (CC) ran rush hours only from Bedford Park Boulevard to the World Trade Center.

In the summer of 1988, I made my very first-ever trip to the Rockaways on an R27-R30 Redbird (C).

I hate the C. Especially on weekends when it wants to exist.
