New management as in specific managers for each line, like the L and 7 lines a few months ago.

Jamaica yard only has R46's. And the R46's have been moved to the F and R lines. The V is now mainly comprised of the R32-42's with some R46's.
The E and F now have no more, aside from an occasional, R32/42's. The E should be almost all R160's and the F next to get more R160's, but now mainly R46.

Isn't there about 100 cars of the R46's at the Pitkin Yard?

Yes, but that transfer was completed a while ago after the last of the Slants were retired. Since then no R46s have been transferred. As more R160s enter service on the F (the E is all R160) the R and V will start to get their R46s back.

Sorry, my response was to correct him about that there are no R44's at Jamaica yard. But yes there are a few R46's at Pitkin which were sent there to retire the last remaining slants. That you are correct about.

as more R160's come in for (F) service only, the R42/40M will retire off, and when that happens you will start to see more R46's on the (R) first because many R46's are undergoing SMS. then the (V) - at last, will be R46 and the remaining R32's (when the R42's are retired). in 2010 (spring) no more 60 footers on the (V). the (F) will be half R160 and half R46. the other half of the (F)'s R46's will be transferred again to pitkin to retire the last of the R32's over there.
