I've been hearing rumors from NYCTF and *gasp* Subchat that the R110a's are on the move. I'll provide an update when I get more info.

There are a bunch of videos of them being moved at NYC Transit Forums. Very interesting, indeed.

Well, if any one of you guys want to know, the videos of the R110A trains have been mostly sighted on the Jerome Line.

I've heard that the R110A will be going to Concourse yard, then to Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue.

No. This was only a change in storage. There are absolutely no plans for them IINM.

Plus what good is a single train that has probably no spare parts [one of the 5-car sets likely to be cannibalized for parts] and their successors the R142/A's running fine? I can understand maybe keeping one of the sets as a museum train, but other than that, they do not seem to be worth repairing.
IMO, just take one or 2 cars and preserve them for the museum, but mainly as static display or towed by another train.

I just hope the R110A can be put in service on the 42 Street shuttle. Thats not likely to happen though.

I wish they built more R110a's instead of these bland R142's.

The R110A look better than the R142 and R142A. I wonder what the propulsion sounds like.

Unfortunately not going to happen because they don't want to fix there ntt prototypes.

No -- on Fulton St, it must be an R110B. The Fulton St line is IND which could not use an R110A.
